Pictographic Signage

I first accepted my obsession with pictographic signage during my Masters Dissertation (read in full here), which led me to lament it's failure to comunicate universally without the use of words. However the sheer variety of these signs and their inconsistancy has kept me hooked, and gives an interesting insight into the cultures behind them.
 
While endlessly fascinating to me,
it makes requests to see holiday snaps more embarassing than usual.
